PLACES TO DANCE

For great country music and dancing go to the
BUFFALO CLUB - 10206 Fairview, Boise Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. They have a large dance floor. The house band, The Saloonatics, plays an excellent variety of dance music Thursday - Saturday. They are loud and the place can get pretty smokey on the weekends, but it's a lot of fun. Come early and dance to music videos on Friday and Saturday. The band starts at 9:00ish. The smoke isn't bad and the floor is usually really good for dancing until 10:00 or 11:00. Wednesday line dance lessons with Randy will be followed by The Ticks playing live rock 'n roll music for the rest of the evening.

Shorty's Saloon,
5467 Glenwood St, Boise. Nice, big dance floor. Ventilation could be improved. Play music videos. Their website is: http://shortyssaloonofidaho.com

127 Club on Idaho Street in Meridian. Lots of smoke and a small, tile dance floor, but they have a great DJ and often have a good band on the weekends. They have a MySpace site: http://www.myspace.com/127club

Cowgirls in Kuna. Fun place to dance early in the evening, especially if they book a good band. Check out their website: http://www.cowgirlsaloon.com

Whiskey River in Nampa. They are under new management. They have a MySpace site: http://www.myspace.com/whiskeyrivernampa
